“The destiny of love” (Le Lune, 2020): Antonella is a young Sardinian manager who works in Milan in the sales department of a multinational company. One evening, on the occasion of her birthday, she goes out to celebrate and wakes up in the hospital after forty-five days. Antonella, like any unaware person, is chasing a destiny that does not belong to her. Her life, seemingly so rewarding, appears to have given her everything she could desire. But this life is not her destiny, and she, still unaware, perseveres through her willpower.
Only the coma, which comes on suddenly, stops her. When she wakes up, she no longer has her memories. The recovery is difficult; she does not recognize her friends and colleagues, and she no longer feels emotions. What seems like yet another defeat evolves into positive energy, allowing her to fully take control of her life and understand the true path of her destiny.
In 2021 Antonella Gregorio presented at the festival “Il destino dell’amore” (Le Lune, 2020), her autobiographical literary debut born from his experience of “rebirth” after waking up from a coma.
We will talk about it in a chat with Luca Fiscariello (also fresh from his debut with the novel “I sogni dei bambini sono gratis”, published in February 2021), interspersed with the reading of pages from Antonella Gregorio’s book chosen by him and entrusted to the interpretation of Rita Atzeri.
