Andrea Murgia and Francesco Peddoni respectively sign the subject and texts of “Jukebox al Carbone“, the 2019 documentary (directed by Daniele Arca) that tells the story of the music scene of Carbonia born with the transition from the mines to the factories in Sulcis in the Sixties. A transition that brought new life to the city that will find economic development around the nascent industrial hub. Generations of young people begin to go out and have fun, clubs and meeting places are born. In the background of their lives, rock music that comes from far away but begins to be played in the cellars of the city and then comes out, on stages, at parties, on the first free radios. Presented at the festival, “Jukebox al Carbone” tells the story of this youth revolution and the context that produced it and that accompanied at least two generations until the new millennium.
