He further developed his leadership experience by managing relationships with political and technical leaders of regional governments and with the strategic departments of Local Health Authorities (ASL), becoming an expert in the key processes of the National Health System and regional systems. In 2010, he founded the biotech research and development start-up RARESPLICE s.r.l. for the discovery and development of gene therapies to treat rare genetic diseases, obtaining a worldwide patent for the treatment of certain conditions, such as Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and others.
